A wonderful lady who did so much for us all. She will be missed.
Gloria was a well respected and kind member of the Center Armory and Downtown community. She was the first to visit and welcome me when I moved in 20 years ago. She was so friendly and talkative every time we saw each other, and she was a very contributing member of the HOA board when we served together. The first time that I can remember when we met, when I moved in, after saying "Welcome to the community", she then told me "I remember holding you as a baby", which I had no idea I already "knew her" but was verified by my parents. My very appreciated friendship with her started that very day and I, and the community, will miss her greatly. - Ryan Goodfellow
Gloria was a force of nature in the arts! So many of her programs and initiatives are still viable today. She was always positive and encouraging to young and ambitious artists, myself among them. I adjudicated her youth jazz festival for several years, witnessing her organizational skills up close. She was very supportive of the creation of CNY Jazz as well. Rest in Heavenly Peace, Gloria, in that big Arts Council in the sky!
