Gordon C. Hinman, Sr.'s Obituary
Gordon C. Hinman, Sr., 80, of Fulton, passed away at home with his loving family by his side on Friday, June 10, 2016.
Gordon was born on July 16, 1935 and was predeceased by his parents, Olin and Cora (Dwyer) Hinman. In 1957 Gordon graduated from the Elim Bible Institute, and later went on to help pioneer the Elim Full Gospel Church in Wyalusing, PA. Gordon then served as the Sunday school superintendent for the Pentecostal Christian Assembly. He was also a Representative for CNY Youth, and a CNY Men’s Ministry Director. Gordon later went on to become Senior Pastor at the Port City Faith Assembly of God Church in Oswego, NY. He then became Interim Pastor at Assembly of God Church in Camden, NY, and ended his career as Senior Pastor at the Turning Point Assembly of God Church in Nedrow, NY.
Gordon is survived by his loving wife of sixty years Eda (Nappa); three sons, Gordon Jr., David (Theresa), Paul (Kathi) Hinman; three daughters, Sheryl (Phil) Kreuzer, Darlene (Rob) Allison, Diane (Milo) Johnson; fourteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Gerald (Rosemary), Richard (Jaqueline) Hinman, a sister, Audrey Williams; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at the North Central Assembly of God. Burial will follow in Onondaga Valley Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at the NORTH CENTRAL ASSEMBLY OF GOD, 7463 Buckley Rd, Syracuse, NY 13212.
