Grace Mary (Sartorio) Lozipone's Obituary
Grace Mary (Sartorio) Lozipone, 83, of Kirkville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 15, 2026 at Loretto Health and Rehabilitation after a long struggle with dementia and cancer. Grace was born in Syracuse on April 12, 1942, daughter of the late Anthony and Concetta (Panto) Sartorio.
In her twenties, she met the love of her life, Dominick Lozipone and his two sons, Larry and Steven, whom she accepted into her heart, and they became a family when she and Dominick were married on July 20, 1968. Family was very important to Grace as was her commitment to her marriage. In a few short years their family got bigger when Grace had children of her own, Theresa and Daniel. They were altogether, a happy family of six. Grace worked at Ames for 20 years until she retired. Her family would continue to grow as they would marry and have children of their own.
Later on, a pleasant surprise came from grief when Steven and Larry’s biological mother passed away. They had found they had another sister, “Cindy” with a son of her own and an alliance was formed. The Lozipone family grew once again as they were welcomed into the family with open arms and loving hearts.
To carry on Grace’s memory are all 5 children, Larry (Phu), Steve, Theresa, Daniel and Cindy; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; along with many cousins and friends.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Monday, February 23, 2026, from 10:45 AM – 11:45 AM at St. Mary of the Assumption, 401 N. Main St., Minoa, NY, followed by a 12:00 PM funeral Mass in celebration of Grace’s life. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery and Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to one’s charity of choice.
