Grace K. (DePasquale) Polano's Obituary
Grace K. (DePasquale) Polano, 94, of Syracuse, NY passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, October 12, 2016. She was born in Syracuse on September 4, 1922 to the late Antonio and Francesca (Losurdo) DePasquale. Grace was employed as a teacher’s assistant by the Syracuse City School District for many years.
Grace was predeceased by her husband, Armand “Nate” Polano in 1998.
She will be deeply missed by her surviving daughters, Judi (Lennie) Germani-Simonds and Kathie Deaver; three grandchildren, John (Christy) Germani, Aubrey (Scott) Bauman, and Edward “Renn” Deaver IV; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Rita Smith; along with several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass in celebration of Grace’s life will be held on Monday, October 17, 2016 at 10:00 am in St. Vincent de Paul Church. Entombment will follow in St Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum, DeWitt. Family and friends may call from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Church, 342 Vine Street, Syracuse, NY 13206.
