Gregory C. "Smokey" Boehler's Obituary
Gregory C. “Smokey” Boehler, 68, of Clay, passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. Smokey worked for FedEx Ground as a P&D driver for 30 years until his retirement in 2017. He was, and will always be, the life of the party.
He was predeceased by his parents Dr. Charles & Dorothy (Chambers) Boehler, his brother Paul, and grandson Tosin.
He leaves behind his incredibly patient and loving wife of 42 years, Wendy (Wieczorek) Boehler; three children, Brandy Boehler (Marc Seno), Bethany (Jerry) Wentovich, and Greg Jr. (Theresa) Boehler; five grandchildren, Teagan, Maya, Isabella, Jace, and Maddox; his sisters, Karen Boehler and Leslie (Philip) Victor; and his brother, Jeff (Pat) Boehler; several nieces and nephews.
In accordance with NYS guidelines on social distancing and 25% capacity, family and friends may call on Saturday, June 20, 2020 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Road (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. Burial will follow in North Syracuse Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Smokey’s memory may be made to Hospice of CNY, 990 Seventh North Street, Liverpool, NY 13088.
