Harold E. Mantor, Jr.'s Obituary
Harold E. Mantor, Jr., 69, of Liverpool, passed away on March 18, 2024.
Born in Syracuse, he was the beloved son of Harold E. Mantor, Sr., and Mary Jane (Decker) Mantor. Harold grew up in Galeville, NY and attended Liverpool High School. He was a lifelong musician and loved by many in Upstate NY’s rock 'n roll music scene. He was a guitarist for Kane, Alecstar, Zoid and Hand of Fate and part of multiple other past musical projects and recordings with his lifelong friends and “brothers”. He was an enthusiastic supporter of local music. He was always looking forward to seeing the amazing talent in the area and talking to other musicians. Harold’s awe-inspiring musical talents came naturally and were self-taught from a young age with his treasured Gibson SG, which he received as a gift from his father.
Harold was predeceased by his father, Harold E. Mantor, Sr., and his children, Jaida and Julian Mantor.
Harold is survived by his loving mother, Mary Jane Mantor (Thomas Burke); his brothers, Gary (Mary Ellen) Mantor and John Mantor (Laura Buonaura); his children, Harmony Mantor (Ian Roberts), Arian Mantor (Sophie Purcell) and Hannah Mantor; his grandchildren, Justin Reynolds and Alyssa Reynolds (Jonathan Albansky) and his great grandson, Aleksander Albansky; along with aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, many close friends and band members, all of whom are like family and he loved so dearly.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2024, from 2:00 - 4:00 PM at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME 3401 Vickery Rd. (Corner of Buckley Rd.) N. Syracuse, NY 13212.
