Hatsue M. "Penny" Zella's Obituary
Hatsue M. “Penny” (Endo) Zella, 85, of Fayetteville, passed away peacefully, Saturday, December 29, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. She was born in Tokyo, Japan. Penny worked as a server for over 20 years at Kyoko’s Restaurant in Fayetteville. She was a member of the St. Therese Society at Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church. She was also a member of the McChesney Park Senior Center. Penny spent many hours a day in her garden, enjoyed reading, cooking, and her many trips to the casino with friends. Most of all, Penny was an amazing wife who always put others first.
Penny is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Joseph E. Zella, of Fayetteville; and one daughter, Julie Ann Zella, of Brookline, MA.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm followed by a funeral service in celebration of Penny’s life at 12:30 pm at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME 3401 Vickery Rd. (Corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY 13212. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
