Heather Marie Bookman's Obituary
Heather Marie Bookman, 37, of North Syracuse, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family and friends on Saturday, November 8, 2014. She was born in Syracuse and was a graduate of Cicero-North Syracuse High School. Heather received her Associates of Nursing from Crouse College of Nursing and Bachelors of Science and Masters of Nurse Education at Keuka College. She was also pursuing her Doctorate degree at Walden University. Heather was a RN, MSN, and Educational Coordinator at Crouse Hospital. One of her achievements was also a Clinical Instructor for Utica College. Heather cherished time spent with her daughter Avery, and loved spending time with family and friends.
Heather is survived by her beloved daughter, Avery Bradshaw; her parents, Charlene Linehan and Robert (Zita) Bookman; her brother, Marc (Kimberly Trenchard) Bookman; her sister, Kimberly (Christopher) Schoemann; step-brother, Chris Barth, three step-sisters, Lisa (Craig) Letizia, Johanna (Blake) Evans, and Carla Johnson; nieces and nephews, including Jasmine Schoemann, Sabrina Schoemann, Miranda Bookman, and Zachary Bookman.
Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. In addition, there will be a celebration of Heather’s life on Friday, November 14, 2014 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the VFW Post 9596, 6996 E. Taft Road, East Syracuse, NY 13057.
