The picture in the obituary took me back 50 years, when I came to St.Joes after medical school. Helen was always in motion, never bossy, always concerned about her patients in L and D, always supportive of our development as young doctors in training. She called me Joe and provided wonderful collegiality. I haven't seen her in decades and it all came back in a flash.

I remember my Aunt Helen fondly but sadly we lost touch after moving to Florida in 1972. My dad (Sam Amato) was very close with his sisters but he died in 1973 (Daytona Beach, FL) and my mother (Matilda) did not travel much since my little sisters kept her very busy.
I would love to reconnect with my Aunt Mary Tarbet.
