Helen E. Campolito's Obituary
Helen E. Campolito, 91, of Hastings, NY, passed away peacefully at home on January 29, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Syracuse, NY, daughter of the late Ray and Maude (Thompson) Snook. Helen retired from Secretary to the Commissioner of Health in Onondaga County and was a long-time member of Robinson Memorial Church in Syracuse. She loved family get togethers, especially seeing all the babies. She loved reading and doing crosswords till her eyesight became bad. Helen also loved dancing and was known as the "Jitterbug Queen". Although her biggest love was her beloved Puggle dog Lily, who passed away.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by two sons, Frankie Campolito in 1973 and Joseph Campolito, Jr. in 2012; and her grandson, Jordan Campolito in 2019.
Helen is survived by her four children, Pamela (Wes) Lewis, Jody Campolito, David Campolito and Kimberly Campolito; 12 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are private. Helen will be laid to rest in White Chapel Memory Gardens at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Helen’s memory may be made to the ASPCA.
