Helen Dali's Obituary
Helen Dali, 88, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully at the Iroquois Nursing Home on Monday December 14, 2015. She was a native Syracusan, graduating from Blodgett Vocational High School in 1945. She worked for General Electric in Syracuse and transferred to G.E.’s research lab in Palo Alto, CA. She attended the academy of fashion, evenings, in San Francisco, CA. and received her certification as a dress designer in 1954. Later, she moved to New York City and was employed by the Allen Bradley Co, and later on to the Continental Corporation as a legal administrator.
She attended Fordham University, evenings and graduated cum laude in 1979. Her last position was a field representative for the National Federation of Independent Business in NYC, transferring back to Syracuse, NY, and retired in 1990.
Helen was predeceased by her parents, Carmello and Kate (Bartolo) Dali; a brother, Sam Dali; sisters, Natalia Inge, Margaret Armstong, and Dorothy Dali. She is survived by her sister, Bertha (Dali) Canino of Syracuse, and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Helen’s life will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at Holy Cross Church, DeWitt. A private burial will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery.
