Helen R. Russo's Obituary
Helen R. (Sacco) Russo, 91, of Syracuse, passed away Tuesday at Iroquois Nursing Home. She was born in Syracuse, the daughter of Frank and Teresa Sacco. Helen was a communicant of Holy Trinity Church and was also a member of Assumption Golden Agers Club. She was employed with Learbury's for 10 years and also worked at Crouse Hospital for 24 years. Helen volunteered at James Square Nursing Home for 10 years. She was predeceased by her husband, Vincent Russo in 1976. Helen is survived by her daughter, Paula (Jean-Pierre) Russo-Haeberly of Durham, CT; two grandchildren, Celine and Isabelle Haeberly, both of CT; a brother, Joseph (Mary) Sacco of Scottsdale, AZ; brother-in-law, Sam Russo of Eastwood; two sisters-in-law, Josephine Geer of Syracuse and Mickey Stagnitta of Buffalo; also many nieces, nephews and cousins. A committal service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum, Rev. Robert P. Hyde Jr. will be officiating. THOMAS J. PIRRO JR.
