Henry N. Cappa's Obituary
Henry N. Cappa, 93, of East Syracuse, NY, passed away Saturday, December 21, 2024, at the VA Medical Center. He was born in Batavia, NY, son of the late Pompilio and Maddalena (Gizzarellai) Cappa. Henry served in the U.S. Army and attended SU. He worked at Crouse Hinds/Cooper Industries as a System Analyst, retiring after many years. Henry was a devout catholic. He enjoyed golfing and bowling and was a proud member of the Syracuse Turners Club.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his sister, Elodia (Cappa) Palma in 2004.
Henry is survived by his wife, Mary K. (Greevy) Cappa; his son, Mark J. Cappa; several nieces and nephews; his close friends, Ron Morgan and Don Schmidt, Sr., and his cat, Kayco.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2025, from 10:30 am – 11:30 am, immediately followed by a funeral service in celebration of Henry’s life at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. He will be laid to rest with Military Honors in the Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
