Henry J. Henson III's Obituary
Henry J. Henson III, 94, of North Syracuse, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2024 surrounded by his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Henry married the love of his life, Jeanne Bachman on August 2, 1952, and built a life that
honored faith and family above all else. They celebrated a marriage of 65 years of love and
commitment. Veteran of the US Navy, Henry graduated from Syracuse University, retired from
General Electric as a cost analyst, served as Justice of the Peace of North Syracuse from
1975-1985, and maintained memberships to the Liverpool Elks Club, State Magistrate
Association and the Lorton Lake Association.
He and Jeanne’s world revolved around their family and their treasured time at their camp on
Lorton Lake in Altmar, NY. His favorite pastimes were gardening and fishing with his children
and grandchildren. Henry will be deeply missed by all those who loved him.
He was predeceased by his parents, Henry and Catherine Henson; his wife, Jeanne Henson and his sister, Jeanne Rice.
Henry is survived by his children, Thomas (Patricia) Henson, Daniel (Michelle) Henson, Patrick (Doreen) Henson, Deborah (Donald) Scott and Gregory (Lisa) Henson; 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; his siblings, James Henson, Paul (Peggy) Henson, Michael (Melanie) Henson and Margaret Hayes, along with several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to his aides and caregivers: Tamara, Joanne,
Debbie, Cathy and Kellie.
Family and friends may call from 4pm to 6pm on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd, (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, April 12, 2024 at St. Rose of Lima Church, 409 S. Main St., North Syracuse, followed by burial with Military Honors in North Syracuse Cemetery.
