Herbert C. Ingles' Obituary
Herbert C. Ingles, 89, of Minoa, passed away Thursday in Chittenango, NY. He was born in Syracuse, the son of Clinton and Agnes (Conley) Ingles. He served with the US Army during WWII. Herbert was an accountant with John Deere for over 30 years. He was also a life member and volunteer firefighter with the Minoa Fire Department for 47 years and a paramedic with Minoa Ambulance. Herbert served as Village Trustee with the Village of Minoa for two terms. He was a member of the Mohican Model A Car Club. Herbert enjoyed his winter home in Zephyrhills, Florida. He was predeceased by his son, Mark Ingles, his first wife, Cynthia Ingles and his second wife, Veronica "Vicky" Ingles. Herbert is survived by his two sons, William (Deborah) Ingles of Dewitt and Lawrence (Kerry) Ingles of Manlius; three daughters, Kathleen (David) Cartino of Chittenango, Deborah (James) Downs of Camden and Theresa (Kenneth) Johnson of Idaho; a step-son, Thomas Lemm; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Pat Quirion of Florida and Mary Ellen Anderson of California; a brother, Bernard Ingles of Colorado along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service celebrating Herbert's life will be Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 10:00 am in St. Mary's Catholic Church, 401 North Main Street, Minoa, NY. Reception to follow at the Minoa Fire Department, #2, 7036 Manlius Center Road, East Syracuse, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Minoa Fire Department, Antique Truck Fund, PO Box 104, Minoa, NY 13116. THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME is handling local arrangements.
