Iona Belle Stout's Obituary
Iona Belle Stout, 85, of North Syracuse, NY, passed away on December 28, 2021. Iona was born on November 16, 1936, in Westmoreland County Pennsylvania to the late Earl Solomon Eisaman and Genevieve Margaret (Armstrong) Eisaman.
Iona was the wife of the late Keith A. Stout. She was preceded in death by two brothers, James F. and Edward M. Eisaman as well as a sister, Patricia A. Daniels.
In her earlier days, Iona was very socially active with her civic social group and the lunch bunch ladies. She enjoyed soap operas, crocheting many blankets and shopping. Iona was formerly employed by Gentlemen’s Warehouse and retired as a store manager.
Iona is survived by her daughters, Cheryle M. Taylor (Derek) of Clay, NY, Susan E. Craven (Donald) of Clay, NY and her son, Matthew K. Stout (Roxann) of Syracuse, NY; five grandchildren, Kali E. Planty, Ashley Bednarz (Nate), Bryan K. Craven, Erika M. Emert (Nick) and Starr Stout; great-grandchildren, Lexus A. Craven, Zoey G. Craven and Holden J. Emert; five brothers, George W., Donald E., Paul M., Kenneth S., & John W. Eisaman; two sisters, Joan D. Nenortas and Mary E. Porch; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, January 3, 2022, from 11 am – 1 pm, immediately followed by a funeral service in celebration of Iona’s life at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. She will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery.
