Irene (Testa) Carano's Obituary
Irene (Testa) Carano, of Syracuse, passed away at home with her loving family by her side in her 100th year of life. She was born in Syracuse, daughter of the late Vincenzo and Lucy (DeNigris) Testa. Irene retired from Pass and Seymour after 42 years of service. She was a lifetime communicant of St. Brigid’s Church.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, James J. Carano; her sister, Angelina, and brothers, Anthony and Nick.
Irene is survived by her nieces and nephews that cared for her, Lucille (Michael) Roche, Vincent Testa, Sandra (Steven) Wehner, and their children; her sister-in-law, Nancy Testa, along with several other nieces and nephews.
Her family would like to thank the staff of Self Direct Inc., especially Nysheika, Melissa, and Nikki. Also special thanks to the staff at Dr. Mark Pisik’s office.
A Funeral Mass in celebration of Irene’s life will be held on Friday, January 27, 2017 at 10:00 AM in St. Brigid & St. Joseph Church, Syracuse. Entombment will follow in Assumption Cemetery Mausoleum.
