Isadora L. (Clark) Delperuto's Obituary
It is with great sadness that on Sunday, August 2, 2020, our Mom, Isadora Luella (Clark) Delperuto, passed away from a short illness at Oswego Hospital. As she took her last breaths, Mom was surrounded by her daughter, her son, and her daughter-in-law. Mom was born in Central Square, NY on October 13, 1927 to the late Edward B. and Pearl E. (Haas) Clark. She graduated from Central Square High School, the class of 1946 and went on to work at Syracuse China, where she met her future husband, our Dad, John Michael Delperuto; they were married on June 12, 1948 at Sacred Heart Church in Cicero. Together they traveled to every state but Hawaii and were happily married for almost 52 years before Dad’s passing in 2000.
Daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother, mother-in-law, and grandma were titles that she held and roles that she played exceptionally well. Mom lived for her family and cherished every moment she could spend with them.
Besides her parents and our Dad, Mom is predeceased by her brother, Edward; her sisters, Pearl Stoutenger, Cecil Ingerson, Esther Walts, and many beloved in-laws.
Isadora is survived by her daughter Michele Delperuto, of Syracuse; a son, John (Shirley) Delperuto of Leesburg, FL; granddaughters, Kristi Delperuto of Richmond, VA and Kimberly (Michael) Markinson of Chittenango, NY; a sister-in-law, Edith Callisto; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Bishop Commons as well as the 3rd floor of Oswego Hospital for their compassionate care through Isadora’s stay.
Calling hours will take place on Thursday, August 6, 2020 from 10 – 11 am, immediately followed by a funeral service in celebration of Isadora’s life at 11 am at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Road (corner of Buckley Road) North Syracuse, NY. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Isadora’s name may be made to the Francis House, 108 Michaels Ave. Syracuse, NY 13208.
