Italo Benito Venturino "Tim"'s Obituary
Italo Benito Venturino “Tim”, 89, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully at home with his loving wife, daughter, and sister-in-law, Marie Milazzo by his side. He was born in Utica, NY, youngest of 4 children to the late Ettorina and Sebastian Venturino. Tim graduated from Utica Free Academy, got married in 1950 at St. Mary’s of Mt. Carmel Church in Utica, and moved to Syracuse in 1951. He worked in the construction industry for 57 years building and remodeling homes. He was also a master furniture craftsman and would always make friends and family handmade pieces. Tim was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 191 for 20 years. He loved the outdoors, especially the ocean, seagulls and sand; he wintered in Cocoa Beach, Florida for the past 25 years.
He was predeceased by his siblings, Egisto (Joe) Venturino, Frank Venturino, and Josephine Palazzo.
Tim is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Genevieve (Cordo) Venturino; his daughter, Renée Venturino; his son, Timothy Venturino; two granddaughters, Jessica and Emily Piontkowski; two brothers-in-law, Frank Cordo and Michael (Judy) Cordo; one sister-in-law, Marie Milazzo; several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call from 9:00 – 11:00 am on Friday, May 4, 2018 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Tim’s life at 12 pm (noon) at St. Charles/St. Ann’s Parish at St. Ann’s Church, 4471 Onondaga Blvd., Syracuse, NY.
