Jack A. Briggs' Obituary
Jack Briggs, 62, passed away unexpectedly on Thanksgiving Day, November 23, 2017 surrounded by family members.
He was born in Binghamton, NY on May 23, 1955, son of Norris and Velma Briggs. Jack graduated from Binghamton North High School. He was a trained Computer Aided Drafting operator and spent many years working for General Electric and later for New York State Canal Corporations. Jack loved his family, friends, five loyal puppies and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Jack is survived by his father, Norris Briggs; his brother, Kenneth Briggs (Nevada); his sister, Kathy (Pete) Manzo (Virginia), his wife, Tanya (Heron); his son, Christopher (Rhonda) Briggs; his daughter, Barbara (Jeffrey) Lappano; grandchildren, Levi, Joel, Rachel Grace, and Aiden, and family members, Patricia, Brianna and Brittany Hamblin (Bath, NY).
He was predeceased by his mother, Velma Briggs and his father’s wife, Violet Briggs.
Family and friends may call from 1 – 2 pm on Wednesday, November 29, 2017, followed by a Celebration of Life at 2 pm at Life Church, 7125 Collamer Rd., East Syracuse, NY 13057.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to one’s charity of choice.
