Jack A. Spina's Obituary
Jack A. Spina, 71, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2020 at the Francis House, surrounded by his loving family after a long illness to be with his loving companion Iris and his beautiful mother, Fannie Spina. He is also predeceased by his father, Vincent Spina. Jack worked as an elevator mechanic for many years, retiring in 2009 from Otis Elevator, and was a member of the National Elevator Co. He was an avid Harley rider for most of his life. He adored his baby, his little dog “Sonny”.
Jack is survived by two brothers, James (Alba) Spina and Frank (Vera) Spina; two sisters, Dolores (Jerry) Burns and Andrea Lynch; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to Francis House for their loving care.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, November 19, 2020 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. A Funeral Service in celebration of Jack’s life will take place at 11:30 am on Friday, November 20, 2020 at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, with burial to follow in Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay, NY.
