Jacquelyn "Jackie" Patchen's Obituary
Jacquelyn ”Jackie” Patchen, 84, passed away Monday at Morningstar Care Center in Oswego. She was born in Syracuse, daughter of the late Ezra and Florence (Higgins) Jones. Jackie worked as a computer operator with Verizon for many years. She enjoyed crocheting, but most of all loved spending time with friends and relatives.
Besides her parents, Jackie was also predeceased by her husband, James Patchen, and her brother Patrick.
Jackie is survived by five children, Michael (Diane) Patchen of Mexico, Cindy (Richard) Andrella of Nedrow, Carolyn (Ronald) Mashie-May of NC, Jill Patchen of Nedrow, and Timothy Patchen of Effingham, IL; her nearly adopted daughter, Michele (Dennis) Dykeman and their son Michael; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her brother, Edward Jones of Syracuse; nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017 from 8:30 – 10:30 am, immediately followed by a funeral service in celebration of Jackie’s life at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. Burial will follow in Onondaga Valley Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
