James M. Cerio's Obituary
James M. Cerio, 78, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 28, 2019 at the Francis House surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Syracuse, the son of the late James and Laura (Roma) Cerio and was a graduate of North High School. Jim was the owner and operator of Jim Cerio’s Appliance Service for over 50 years. He was an avid hunter and loved to travel, however his greatest joy was to spend time with family and friends.
Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his brother, Michael Cerio.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Frances “Chi Chi” (Costa) Cerio; a daughter, Tracy Cerio; two sons, Jimmy and Michael (Karen) Cerio; two grandchildren, Michelle and Cameron Cerio; two great-grandsons, Jacob and Charlie Cerio; along with several nieces and nephews.
A calling hour will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2019, from 8:45 – 9:45 am at Our Lady of Pompei/ St. Peter Church, 301 Ash St., Syracuse, NY 13208 immediately followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am.
