James "Jimmy" Cowles' Obituary
James “Jimmy” Cowles, 62, of Clay, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 30, 2020. Born in Syracuse to the late Theron D. and Frances A. (Keating) Cowles, Jimmy was employed at Buckeye Corrugated Inc. for 10 years. He was a lifelong lover of hunting, the outdoors, he was an avid archer, and dog lover. Jimmy adored his wife Cathy. They loved spending time together enjoying their backyard, pool, and garden.
Along with his parents, Jimmy is predeceased by his brother, Alfred Cowles; his sister, Linda Lombardi; and his beloved dog, Tessy.
Jimmy is survived by his beloved wife of 14 years, Cathy (Kraft) Cowles; his son, Jesse (Katie Rycraft) Cowles; daughter, Danielle (Dennis) Troxell; stepdaughter, Stephanie (Travis) Houry; 2 grandchildren, Emma and Maeve Troxell; 2 brothers, Paul (Dawn) Cowles and Peter (Jean) Cowles; his mother-in-law, Mary Kraft; 3 brothers-in-law and their families; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; as well as his 2 beloved dogs, Chloe, and Mia.
A calling hour will take place on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 from 10:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M. at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME 3401 Vickery Rd. (Corner of Buckley Rd.) N. Syracuse, NY 13212 followed by a Funeral Mass in Celebration of James’ life in Sacred Heart Church, 8229 Brewerton Rd. Cicero, NY 13039 at 12:00 P.M. James will be laid to rest in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, Baldwinsville.
