James S. Diliberto's Obituary
James S. Diliberto, 87, of Liverpool, passed away October 17, 2021 at Upstate University Hospital. He was born in Syracuse, son of the late Samuel and Christine (Seimele) Diliberto and served in the U.S. Army. James retired from the Herald Journal after 40 dedicated years. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and bowling.
James is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Gail (Graber) Diliberto; a son, Salvatore and his wife, Colleen Diliberto; his daughter, Donna Diliberto; two grandchildren: Mark and Scott Diliberto; siblings: Theresa Geremski, Dolores Diliberto and Tony Muscolino; several nieces and nephews, and his cat Laci.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021 from 10:30 am – 12:30 pm, immediately followed by a funeral service in celebration of James’ life at 12:30 pm at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. He will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
