James D. DiSano's Obituary
James D. DiSano, 84, of Liverpool, passed away Friday at home with his loving family by his side. He was born in Syracuse and served with the U.S. Army during the Korean war. James was employed with General Electric for 43 years and retired as a Logistics Specialist. He was also an owner and operator of Suburban Hardware in Liverpool. James had a very close relationship with his co-workers at GE and often spent time golfing and traveling with them. He was always a very active man, fixing and building things including building his own house.
He was predeceased by his parents, Donato and Anna (Iacampo) DiSano; his loving wife of 47 years, Gloria A. DiSano in 2013 and his brother, Nicholas DiSano.
James is survived by his three children, Louis (Teresa) DiSano of Austin, TX; Anne Aaronson of Los Angeles, CA and Tammy (Carmel) DiSano-Aruck of Canandaigua, NY; five grandchildren, Joshua DiSano, Jonah Aaronson, Ethan MacDougall, Leonardo and Giovani DiSano; a brother, Louis (Theresa) DiSano of Liverpool, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 am in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME and 11:30 am in Pope John XXIII Church, Soule Road, Liverpool, where a funeral mass will be celebrated. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Pancreatic Cancer Research at The Lustgarten Foundation, 1111 Stewart Avenue, Bethpage, NY 11714.
