James E. Edick Sr.'s Obituary
James E. Edick, Sr., 82, of North Syracuse, passed away on Saturday at the Syracuse VA Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. James was born in Syracuse to the late Edward J. and Helen (Stone) Edick, and served in the United States Army from 1953-1974, which included two tours in Vietnam.
James was predeceased by his wife, Diane J. (Zinsmeyer) Edick; daughter, Nancy Brooks; and eight siblings.
He is survived by his three children, Julie King of Salisbury, NC, James E. Edick, Jr. of N. Syracuse, and Neal J. Edick of Cicero; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers, Thomas (Sharon) Edick, of Cicero and Edward (Karen) Edick, of Farmington, NY; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Family and friends may call on Friday, May 3, 2019 from 4 pm to 7 pm at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.), North Syracuse. A private burial will be held at the Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
