James L. "Sonny" Enzerillo's Obituary
James L. “Sonny” Enzerillo, 90, of Syracuse, passed away at Sunnyside Care Center on December 6, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Syracuse, son of the late John and Mary (Felice) Enzerillo. James was a proud U.S. Air Force veteran and served during the Korean Conflict. He retired as a Union President from Western Electric and went on to work for General Foods and owned and operated Big M for 5 years. He enjoyed history, astronomy, and archeology. James was an avid animal lover, especially his dog Rosie. He was very social and loved to make people laugh. James will be truly missed.
In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his wife, Alice (Gongora) Enzerillo in 2015, and his brother, Louis Enzerillo.
James is survived by his son, John M. Enzerillo of Baldwinsville; his daughter, Susan M. Enzerillo (Lawrence Dunigan) of CA; his granddaughter, Alexandria Dunigan and his sister, Jessie Crisalli.
A Funeral Mass in celebration of James’ life will be held at 9:30 am on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at St. Marianne Cope at Our Lady of Peace Church, 203 Halcomb St., Lakeland, NY, followed by interment with Military Honors at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Lakeland. Family and friends may call from 3:00 – 5:00 pm on Friday, December 9, 2022 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or American Cancer Society.
