James A. "Jimmy" Foran's Obituary
James Andrew Foran “Jimmy”, 83, of Liverpool, NY, passed away surrounded by his loving family on June 27, 2023. Jimmy was a proud United States Marine Veteran, a recording artist with his singing group, The Madisons, and the life of every party. Affectionally known as “Bompi” by his family who adored him, Jimmy also boasted the title of the “Luckiest Man Alive” because he believed his children and grandchildren were the greatest gift life could offer, and because he was honored to share this life with his wife of 60 years Cynthia (White) Foran.
He was born in Syracuse on May 22, 1940, the son of the late James and Doris (Perry) Foran. He was also predeceased by his 2 brothers Perry (Georgia), and Terrance Foran, and on June 28th his brother-in-law, Issa Essi.
Jimmy is survived by his loving wife Cynthia (White) Foran; three children, daughter, Tami Henry (John Henry), his son James Foran (Tracy), and daughter Jami Sageer; ten grandchildren, Tavish VanSkoik, Brogin VanSkoik, Kegan VanSkoik, Alex Webber, Zoe Webber, Chloe Foran, Tori Foran, Halie Foran, Sophie Sageer, and Lola Sageer; his twin sister, Judy (Fran) Hartnett; sister-in-law, Carol Foran and Rosalie Essi; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
On Thursday, September 21, 2023, the 60th wedding anniversary of Jimmy and Cindy, a funeral mass in celebration of Jimmy’s life will take place at 10:30 am in St. Rose of Lima Church, North Syracuse. He will be laid to rest with military honors in Assumption Cemetery.
The family would like to thank The Syracuse VA Medical Center’s medical professionals, and staff, for the love and compassion given to Jimmy and his family.
