James E. Godfrey's Obituary
James E. Godfrey, 63, of Tully, NY, passed away peacefully on Saturday surrounded by his loving family. He grew up in Pennellville, NY. James enjoyed gardening, hunting, and fishing, and loved riding his John Deere tractor. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his family and friends.
James is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Tonya (Germani) Godfrey; his daughter, Dana Godfrey (Matthew Brophy); his son, Daimon (Valerie) Oberholtzer; two grandsons, Noah and Nathan; his parents, John C. and Joyce E. Godfrey; his brother, David Godfrey; his sister, Karen (Henry) Fuller; his beloved dog Bella, and grand puppy Juneau.
A Funeral Service in celebration of James’ life will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at Pennellville United Methodist Church, 389 County Route 54, Pennellville, NY. Burial will follow in Pennellville Cemetery. Family and friends may join us for calling hours from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
