James J. King's Obituary
James J. King, 93, of Manlius, NY, passed away Friday at St. Joseph’s Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born in New York City, son of the late John and Amelia (Carley) King. James served in the U.S. Army during WWII for three years in the South Pacific. He was a salesman for Magnuson Products and Rex Industries. James resided in Ringwood, NJ for 50 years and enjoyed the outdoors, working around his house, and was an avid reader. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife, Elga (Gambarana) King in January 2016 and his brothers, Robert, John, and William.
James is survived by his two daughters, Diane King of Woodstock, VA and Valerie (Gregory) Dunn of Manlius, NY; six grandchildren; Stephanie and husband Kevin, Spencer, Christopher, Lindsey, Emily and Emmett; his brother, Edward King of E. Sandwich, MA.
Private funeral services will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
