James A. Lawson, Sr.'s Obituary
James A. Lawson, Sr. was born September 27, 1950, in Cleveland, TN. He was diagnosed with cancer 8 months ago and lost his battle on February 26, 2023, with his loving wife, Christine Lawson by his side of 55 years. A long journey they shared; throughout his life he enjoyed his family and friends, smiling, laughing, and especially listening to the oldies. He was a loving man with an attitude of a warrior. A strong, caring, proud husband, father, and grandfather that loved to be himself. A unique man, not like any other. He dedicated himself to things he loved like garage sailing, car shopping, and being an entrepreneur. He had many business ventures, owning several types of businesses throughout the years.
James was loved by many. He is preceded in death by his mother, Madia l. McDowell, father, Paul A. Lawson, two brothers, Paul A. Lawson, Jr., and Guy Edward Greene, his son, Donald C. Lawson.
He is survived by his wife, Christine (Perry) Lawson; three sons, James A. Lawson, Jr., Michael R. Lawson, Shane P. Lawson and one daughter, Tonya l. Lawson; a brother, Thomas Greene; two sisters, Connie Lawson and Sandra Lawson. James had several grandchildren, great grandchildren and several others who loved and shared many memories to remember.
