James P. "Jim" McNeill's Obituary
James P. "Jim" McNeill, 68, of Liverpool, passed away unexpectedly Thursday in St. Joseph's Hospital. He was born in Syracuse, the son of the late Joseph and Gladys (Bailey) McNeill. Jim was a Draftsman Designer with ICM Corporation for nearly 20 years, retiring in 2012. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and vacationing in Florida. Jim loved spending time with family and friends, always attending his grandchildren's activities and events.
He was predeceased by his parents; his brother, Lawrence McNeill and his sister, Susan Sauer. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Marilyn (Bill) McNeill; three beloved children, Brian (Cassandra) McNeill of Massena, Kristin (Edward) Gublo of Liverpool and Kevin (Susan) McNeill of Camillus; four cherished grandchildren, Braeden and Camdyn McNeill, Ryan and Emily Gublo; a brother, Joseph (Kathleen) McNeill of Commack, NY; his mother-in-law, Santina Bill of Syracuse along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME and 12:00 pm in Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse on Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.
