James A. Perrotti's Obituary
James A. Perrotti, 74, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 6, 2022 at Crouse Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Jim was born in Syracuse to the late Anthony and Helen (Rahalski) Perrotti and graduated from Central Technical High School. He worked as a mail carrier for the US Postal Service for 36 years and also as an usher for many local venues, such as the Carrier Dome, NBT Bank Stadium and the Civic Center. Jim was an usher supervisor at the Carrier Dome; he was employed by the Dome from the day it opened until his retirement in 2020. Jim’s faith was important to him, he was a communicant and usher at Holy Family Church and also earned his 4th degree as a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #4114. He served in the US Army Reserves and was an avid golfer. Jim loved to watch his favorite sports teams, most notably, SU basketball and football and the Buffalo Bills.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his beloved dog, Albert.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Brenda (Feathers) Perrotti; his daughters, Megann (Tristan) Johnson and Kristen (Brian) Riffle; two grandchildren, Gunner Johnson and Jovonnah Riffle; along with several aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Crouse Hospital, especially all the doctors, nurses, and palliative care staff as well as the chaplain and priest.
A funeral service will be held at 9:00 am on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 am in Holy Family Church, Fairmount. Family and friends may call on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 from 4 – 7 pm at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. He will be laid to rest in St. Mary’s Mausoleum, DeWitt.
