James W. Strouth's Obituary
James W. Strouth, 79, of Liverpool, passed away Saturday, July 19, 2014 at the VA Medical Center in Syracuse. He was born one of ten children in Cleveland, Virginia, the son of the late Asa Jefferson Strouth and Esther Louise Audet. James served with the U.S. Air Force from 1955 to 1964. He was the owner and operator of Connecticut Ribbon Inc. He was also an avid Yankees fan.
Besides his parents, he was also predeceased by five siblings. James is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Claire (Clare) Strouth; four sons, Paul (Kari) Strouth of Randolph, MA; James (Elizabeth) Strouth of Huntsville, AL; Robert (Desiree) Strouth of Windsor Locks, CT, and John Strouth of Liverpool; his daughter, Elizabeth Strouth of Liverpool; nine grandchildren; four siblings, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service by Rev. John Ahern in celebration of James’ life will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 9:00 to 10:00 am on Wednesday at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
