James Francis "Jim" Sulesky's Obituary
James Francis “Jim” Sulesky, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 6, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Dickson City, PA to the late Frank and Anna Sulesky.
Growing up, Jim went to St. Anthony’s School and played in basketball, football, and baseball leagues. He attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst where he played division one college basketball and studied economics. After college, he became a member of the National Guard. Jim was a property manager for Longley-Jones Management Corporation. Golfing was his passion; he was a member of many country clubs and golf leagues. Jim was an avid sports enthusiast and loved watching the Buffalo Bills games with his daughter. He especially enjoyed family gatherings, weekly lunches at Home Team Pub with his close high school friends, and listening to the Beach Boys. Later in life, he faced physical challenges with courage and strength.
Jim’s outgoing personality brought humor and happiness to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. Jim was truly one of a kind - a thoughtful, gentle, and good-hearted man. His unconditional love for his wife and daughter will never be forgotten.
Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, Ronald Sulesky, Frances Newman and Ann Demers.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Nancy (Calaprico) Sulesky; his beloved daughter, Johanna Sulesky (fiancé, Brad Monroe); his in-laws, Anthony and Johanne Calaprico; his brother-in-law, George Demers, his sisters-in-law, Paula (Ken) Kaminski and Toni Marie (Curtis) Jetter; several nieces, nephews, and great-nephews; along with many cousins and close friends.

An hour of visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 13, 2025, immediately followed by a Catholic funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse.
