Jane W. (Marks) Flynn's Obituary
Jane W. (Marks) Flynn, 97, of Syracuse passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 10, 2024. Born in Utica, NY, she was the beloved daughter of the late John and Stella (Kulis) Marks.
Jane was predeceased by her husband, William Flynn, and her brother, Jack Marks. She is survived by her daughter, Bridget (Anthony) Albanese, whom she lovingly referred to as her angel; her son, Michael (Margaret) Flynn; and her cherished grandchildren, Mary, Brian (Jessica), Lisa (Nicholas), Sean, Caitlin (Chris), and Brendan (Jaimis). She also leaves behind 10 great-grandchildren. Additionally, Jane is survived by her sister, Marlene Bach, and several nephews. All of whom will deeply miss her unwavering love and support.
Jane made friends wherever she went and had a remarkable gift for connecting with others. Her heart was enormous, and she was always willing to help anyone in need.
A calling hour for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, from 9:45 – 10:45 a.m. at St. Matthew’s Church, 229 W. Yates St., East Syracuse, NY, followed by a funeral Mass in celebration of Jane’s life at 11:00 a.m. at the church. She will be laid to rest in St. Mary’s Mausoleum, Dewitt, NY.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jane’s name may be made to the Francis House, 108 Michaels Avenue, Syracuse, NY 13208.
Jane will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, and the light she brought into the lives of those around her. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
