Jane (Cubito) Slade's Obituary
Jane Cubito Slade, age 91, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2021 at St. Joseph’s Hospital due to complications of Covid-19. She was born June 23, 1929, daughter of the late Samuel and Anna (Fichera) Cubito and was a communicant of St. Daniel’s Church.
Jane worked many years as a secretary for Kemper Insurance. Following retirement, she and Bob, spent many winters in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. They also liked to take day trips to local areas of interest. They enjoyed going out to dinner. Scotch and Sirloin was their favorite restaurant, celebrating their anniversary there every year.
Jane spent the last three years of her life at Parkrose Estates in Liverpool. Her family is grateful for the family atmosphere that she was able to enjoy. Special thanks to Ann Pitts and Phyllis Roth for the special attention they gave to her.
Jane’s family would also like to thank the health care providers on Unit 25 at St. Joseph’s Hospital for their kindness to and care of Jane, since her family could not be there with her. The consistent description of Jane as always smiling and sweet was a source of great comfort to the family.
Jane is predeceased by her husband, Robert and her siblings Frances Krausnick, Vincent Cubito, Mary Parsons and Ben Cubito.
Jane is survived by thirteen loving nieces and nephews: Edward Krausnick, Lorraine Krausnick, Dolores (John) Ogden, Candace Cubito (Joe Sugamele), Susan (Tom) Kurzepa, Vincent Cubito, Anthony (Tracey) Cubito, Diane (Jerry) Macaluso, Patricia Hatlee, Russell (Nancy) Parsons, Robert Parsons, David (Jennifer) Cubito, Anne (Steven) Walsh, a very dear sister-in-law Jane Cubito, several cousins and great nieces and nephews.
Private funeral services will be held for immediate family. Burial will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery.
