Janet "Sue" (White) Bonaccio's Obituary
Janet “Sue” (White) Bonaccio, 92, of Syracuse, NY passed away on May 7, 2023. She was born in South Onondaga to her late parents, Elton & Clara (Webster) White, and lived in Syracuse for the last 60 years. Sue was a wonderful mother, homemaker and cook. She made Christmas special every year and truly believed in Santa. Sue loved her girls (6 daughters) and adored her grandkids and great grandkids. She retired from her second career at the MONY Building and was a member of SEIU.
She was predeceased by her husband, Michael J. Bonaccio; sisters, Charlotte Tobin, Dorothy Haney, Edna Chapman and Flossie MacAleer; brothers, Leonard White, Lyle White, Gordon White, Gerald White, Irwin White and Robert White.
Sue is survived by her 6 daughters, Cynthia (Larry) Blumer of Charlotte, NC, Donna Bonaccio of Syracuse, Charlene Bonaccio of Fulton, Debra (Donald) Sawyer of Syracuse, Cathy (Thomas Sr.) Stack of Manlius and Diane (Steven) Abt of Phoenix; 7 grandchildren, Larry Blumer, Jr., Jason Blumer, Nicole DeMauro, Michael DeMauro, Thomas Stack, Jr., Marissa Stack and Joseph Abt; 6 great grandchildren, Adrianna Blumer, Kareena Blumer, Anakin Blumer, Aidan Quesinberry, Mekai Pierre & Jayden Pierre; her sister, Lucille Sponable and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the caring, dedicated staff at St. Luke’s Health Services in Oswego, especially Penny and Erika (Ursula!).
A Funeral Mass in celebration of Sue’s life will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, May 12, 2023 at Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church, 301 Ash St., Syracuse, NY, followed by burial next to her husband in Greenlawn Cemetery in Warners, NY. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 6:00 pm on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
