Janis E. (LaFlamme) Bennett's Obituary
Janis E. (LaFlamme) Bennett, 74, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on October 17, 2019. She was born in Syracuse, daughter of the late Joseph L. and Elizabeth (Snyder) LaFlamme. Janis grew up in Warners, NY and was a lifelong resident of the Syracuse area. She worked at MONY, retiring after many years of dedicated service. Janis had a passion for gardening and was a nature lover. She enjoyed the holiday season and looked forward to her elaborate gift wrapping for her beloved grandchildren, whom she adored. Janis had a great devotion to her Lord and Savior.
She is predeceased by her brother, Donald LaFlamme and her beloved grandmother, Mildred Snyder. Janis is survived by her husband of 40 years, Gerald Bennett; her son, Michael (Rebecca) Miller; three granddaughters, Carson, Riley and Piper Miller; her sister-in-law, Theresa (Nick) Valentino; brother-in-law, Steve (Carol) Bennett, along with several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, October 21, 2019 from 4 – 6:30 pm, immediately followed by a Funeral Service in celebration of Janis’ life at 6:30 pm at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. Private burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Warners, NY.
