Jean Marie Branca's Obituary
Jean Marie Branca, 82, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, September 2, 2025. She was born in Syracuse to the late Carmen Sr. and Mary (Salerno) Branca and graduated from St. John the Baptist High School in 1961. Following graduation, Jean worked as an administrative assistant for numerous insurance agencies in Syracuse throughout her career. She moved to Florida in 1970 and worked for Disney World. She also lived in Atlanta, GA prior to moving back to Syracuse in 1990 to be with family. Jean relished talking about current events and loved expressing her opinion on such topics. More than anything she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Jean is predeceased by her brother, John Branca.
She is survived by her brother, Carmen Branca, Jr. (Lisa Corless); along with several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Visitation will take place on Monday, September 15, 2025 from 10:00 – 10:45 A.M. at Holy Family Church, 127 Chapel Dr., Syracuse followed by a funeral mass in celebration of Jean’s life at 11:00 A.M. in the church. She will be laid to rest in Assumption Cemetery.
