Jean M. "Jeanie" Knapp's Obituary
Jean M. “Jeanie” Knapp, 64, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday at The Bishop Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. She was born in Syracuse, daughter of the late Arthur Jr. and Marjorie (Creech) Hier.
Jean was employed at UPS and the Christmas Tree Shops for many years before retiring. Jeanie was a friendly person to everyone and was always ready to help when needed, however she valued her privacy and never liked being the center of attention. She was an avid baker, and people were always glad to receive one of her homemade treats.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, love of her life and best friend, Jeffrey W. Knapp; daughter, Christie Knapp; son, Jeffrey Knapp II; sisters, Cathleen (Mark) DeWolf; Debra Hier; brothers, Arthur Hier III and Jeffrey (Lynda) Hier; many nieces, nephews and very close friends.
In honoring Jeanie’s wishes, private services will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jeanie’s memory may be made to Helping Hounds, 7268 Caswell Ave., North Syracuse, NY 13212.
