Jean S. Tirinato's Obituary
Jean S. (Chiaravalloti) Tirinato, 90, of Dewitt, passed away Thursday at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was born in Satriano, Italy and came to Syracuse in 1937. Jean worked at Julius Resnick Pocket Book Factory for a few years before working at Nettleton Factory on and off for about 10 years. In 1962, she joined her husband Anthony and worked alongside him at Zipper Repair Service. She was an active communicant of Holy Cross Church and belonged to the Altar Rosary Guild. Jean loved cooking, spending time with her family and vacationing in Sackets Harbor. She was also addicted to Rummikub.
She was predeceased by her parents, Dominic and Josephine (Macri) Chiaravalloti and her sister, Jessie Zangari in 2013. Jean is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Anthony Tirinato; her children, Marion Brillati of Kingman, AZ, Josephine (Ronald) Rabideau of Dewitt, Theodore Tirinato of Syracuse, Jeanette (Nicholas) Castrello of Dewitt and Dominic (Deanna) Tirinato of Dewitt; 6 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and 3 nieces from New Jersey.
A funeral mass in celebration of Jean's life will be held on Tuesday at 11:30 am in Holy Cross Church, Dewitt. Entombment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery Mausoleum, Dewitt. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Holy Cross Church, Dewitt
