Jean M. (Desimone) Tursi's Obituary
Jean M. (Desimone) Tursi, 78, of Mattydale, passed away Saturday surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Syracuse, the daughter of the late Peter and Anna (Vercillo) Desimone. Jean was a graduate of North High School. She was an Office Manager with National Plating Company for 19 years before retiring from Syracuse Federal Credit Union in 1996.
She was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Daniel B. Tursi in 1999.
Jean is survived by her son, Daniel J. Tursi of Mattydale; her daughter, Filomena “Faye” Chiaia of Santa Maria, CA; two grandchildren, Sebastian and Caroline Chiaia; one great-granddaughter, Jasmine Chiaia; her sister, Anna Marie Crisalli of Syracuse, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Funeral Service in celebration of Jean’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Monday, March 2, 2015 at the FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
