Jeanette G. (Vigliotti) Famoso's Obituary
Jeanette G. (Vigliotti) Famoso, 87, of Syracuse, passed away Sunday at Van Duyn Nursing Home. She was born in Syracuse, daughter of the late Jack and Felicia (Vinceguerra) Vigliotti. Jeanette was an avid Bingo player and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was co-owner and operator with her late husband Joe, of Famoso’s Tavern. She also was formerly employed by Prestolite as an assembler for over 25 years.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Joseph J. Famoso in 2007 and 8 siblings.
Jeanette is survived by her daughter, Anna Shelley of Syracuse; 2 grandchildren, Gerald (Michelle) Shelley Jr. of Brewerton and Jennifer Shelley of Springhill, FL; 2 great-grandchildren, Addison and Gavin Shelley and a brother-in-law, Anthony Lamanna of Solvay, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Calling Hour will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 AM on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY with a Funeral Service to follow at Noon at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
