Jeanette (Roth) McGuire's Obituary
Jeanette (Roth) McGuire, 82, of Syracuse, passed away November 22, 2023, at Crouse Hospital. She was born in Syracuse, daughter of the late John and Marion (Rother) Roth. Jeanette retired as a Nurse’s Aide in 1997 from University Hospital after 23 dedicated years. She was an avid artist and painter.
While employed at University Hospital she would paint pictures of cartoon characters on the glass doors of the children’s rooms to brighten their day.
In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband, Donald V. McGuire, Jr. in 1998 and her sister, Lorraine Orton.
Jeanette is survived by her son, Daniel McGuire; four daughters, Diane McGuire, Linda Hall, Kathleen Wafer, and Wendy Kennell; eleven grandchildren; Thirteen great-grandchildren; two brothers, John Roth, and Lawrence Roth; her sister, Shirley Tucker, along with several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY, followed by burial in Assumption Cemetery.
