Jeanette C. Santangelo's Obituary
Jeanette C. (Gatto) Santangelo, 81, of Marcellus NY, passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 8, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Syracuse on September 24, 1939 to Gaetano and Lucy Gatto, with sisters Antoinette and Norma. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, aunt, and wife, known for her sense of humor and perceptive personality. A 1957 graduate of North High School, she excelled professionally at Syracuse Movie Lab, a company she co-owned with her husband for over 40 years.
Jeanette is survived by her loving husband, Costantino “Cosmo” Santangelo; children, Thomas (Debbi), Mark (Caroline), and Jeanette; grandchildren, Nathan, Joy, Chloe, and Gabriel; and 16 nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass in celebration of Jeanette’s life will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, February 15, 2021 at St. Francis Xavier Church, 1 West Main St., Marcellus, NY. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations made to Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital.
