Jeanne St. Pierre DiCarlo's Obituary
It is with great sadness we announce Jeanne St. Pierre DiCarlo, 93, of North Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Tuesday with her family at her side. She was a lifelong resident of Syracuse, a graduate of Eastwood High in 1950 and then attended Business School. In 1952, she married her beloved husband, Joseph P DiCarlo, beginning a wonderful life together.
Jeanne was a proud employee for 27 years as an Executive Administrator at the School of Art at Syracuse University, where she helped countless students begin their academic careers. A devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Jeanne’s family has always been the center of her world.
Jeanne found happiness in cooking, gardening, golfing, art appreciation, travel, music, and cherished the time spent with family.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph, and her brother, C. Edward St. Pierre, and her sister, Elaine St. Pierre.
Surviving are her children, Philip Edward DiCarlo, Patricia DiCarlo Baker (Bruce), Pamela DiCarlo-Schermerhorn, Lisa Marie DiCarlo and Jeanne Jo DiCarlo Vinnette (Mark); 6 grandchildren, Alyssa, Geoffrey, Alec, Lindsay, Jeanne Marie and Andrew; 4 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 9 to 10:30 a.m., followed by a funeral service in celebration of Jeanne’s life at 10:30 am at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (Corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. Jeanne will be laid to rest next to her husband in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt.
