only knew you for a short time during mod lite days but had some fun times racing with you and ryan will be missed--R.I.P. jeff
Some of my fond memories of Jeff date way back. As kids we camped with our families at Ched Mario. We were in the same home room for 4 years in High School. Jeff and I played trumpet in High school band together. And our boys did the same thing many years later. A lot of our time we shared after school was building our street rods and going to several car shows. We were in each other’s weddings. Jeff and I had planned a trip to see family in California however the trip was cancelled due to issues with Jeff’s liver. After we were married, before children we took that trip at last. Jeff drove that first minivan on the market that year from San Francisco to Anaheim and seen some pretty wonderful sights. We started our families together. Our 3 boys are best of buds! Now to date, Jeff bought a camp next door to our family camp. We would see he and Nancy working endlessly over there remolding. We will miss you my friend. Steve and Kim
Jeff was one of our most favorite customers at Stahl in Cardington, Ohio. No matter the situation he handled it like a true gentleman. My condolences to all the family.

Ryan & Nancy, I am so sorry for your loss. Jeff was 1 of a kind person. Funny, smart and never said NO to anything I Needed fixed OR Built. He used to laugh when I would come in and say " Good morning ladies " ,, him and Ryan would chuckle meaning I Needed something quickly and of course he would oblige ... Ryan, please keep up his laughter, quality of workmanship and steadiness.. Nancy, you had a great guy who thought the world of you.

Please accept my thoughts and prayers. I am fortunate to have known Jeff and am deeply saddened by his passing and the loss for the entire family. He always managed to be upbeat and working on new projects. I will miss him (and the phone conversations that we managed to have on a routine basis about important matters.....racing, the camp, traveling in the camper, making wine.....they always brightened my day) and am glad that I had the opportunity to have known him and consider him a friend...

A Life taken too soon, our thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this difficult time.
Jeff was not only a “Family” friend but a friend to both Dan and I. Dan grew up with Jeff camping with their families for many years (which I joined in on occasionally), scouting together, and later on in school we were all in Band together. Jeff was a great guy, a great Father, and a very hard worker. He would help anyone who needed it. When Dan was laid off from Carrier, Jeff hired him to work for him at Blackburn Truck Bodies. We will never forget being invited to his camp when Mark came up for a visit, just about the whole Blackburn family was there and Jeff made his “smoked BBQ Ribs”, BEST ribs we have ever had!! We will always remember his smile, he had a smile for everyone! We have fond memories of Jeff to carry with us forever.

We met and got to know Jeff when he married cousin Nancy, and when they shared a Thanksgiving with us in Connecticut back in 2014. We loved him from the first, and prayed that they would stay so happy together. Jeff was a born leader and accomplished man and I remember our children being fascinated with his stories and racing! The world is a bit colder since you’ve gone Jeff. Rest peacefully. Until we meet again, my friend! The CT Nusses and Nusslings.
Jeff was a truly down to earth person driven to succeed in business, racing, and life. Please accept the deepest condolences and most heart felt prayers from the Finish Line Chaplain Ministry, as well as our gratitude for how much Jeff supported our sport. Even though we won't be able to attend his services in person, know we are with his family, friends, employees, and racing family in spirit uplifting everyone in prayer as we all feel the greif of our loss.

Jeff was one of my true friends. In life you have a lot of acquaintances and very few of them become true friends. To me, Jeff was a true friend. Life got in the way at times with work and family pulling us in different directions but having similar dreams and passion’s, we would somehow reconnect seamlessly.
For almost 40 years of knowing Jeff, we shared many of the same passion’s like snowmobiling,motorcycles,boating and the dream of driving our own race cars. That was the most unforgettable and memorable time we got to share together.
Jeff was a special person that the world needs more of. It did not matter what the situation was he made you feel like a friend and you would walk away knowing you just made a friend that you could call on if you needed to. Jeff treated everyone like that.
Jeff was one of those people that you were thankful to have be part of your life and with his help and friendship, I was able to fulfill some of our dreams and passion’s together, which I will always treasure and be forever grateful for and never forget.
You were taken from us suddenly and to soon before you were able to fulfill the rest of your dreams and the bucket list that we always talked about. The stories we were going to share about our grandkids as we grew older and enjoyed the life of retirement.
We have all lost a special person in our life that was able to make a difference in your life for the better….. to me Jeff was that person.
Till we meet again my friend. Watch over your family and friends who loved you very much and will miss you dearly.
I know you will, because through your life you always did and I know that will never change.
