Jennie (Cannone) Loiacono's Obituary
Jennie (Cannone) Loiacono was led by the angels to be with the Lord in her eternal home on Saturday, September 30, 2017 surrounded by her loving and dedicated family.
Jennie was born in Syracuse, daughter of the late Vittorio and Elvira (Romagno).
Jennie was a sweet, loving, faith filled, selfless and compassionate woman who always put others before herself in their need. Jennie was known for her incredible cooking and feeding everyone who walked through her door. She and her husband Rocco were married for 61 years and built a beautiful legacy for their proud and dedicated Italian family.
She is predeceased by her husband, Rocco Loiacono, and her sister, Mary DiOrio.
Jennie is survived and will be forever missed by her 5 daughters: Theresa (Jake) Geariety, Vera (Fred) Bennink, Nancy Corsivo, Michele (Joseph) Rourke and Jeanine (Paul) Gottfried; her sister, Ann Loiacono and brother, Nick Cannone; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 8:00 am on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Jennie’s at 9:00 am in St. Matthew’s Church, East Syracuse. Entombment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum, DeWitt. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
